Healthy Comprehensive Plan Pilot Project and Food Access Study
Background
The Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC), in partnership with Carlton-Cook-Lake-St Louis Communiy Health Board and University of Minnesota, worked together to pilot a healthy comprehensive planning process and study healthy food access in rural communities with a goal to integrate healthy equity and food access policy language into Comprehensive Plans. The project included two components:


Pilot Healthy Community Comprehensive Planning
ARDC will pilot a comprehensive planning assistance which integrates health data and language into comprehensive planning.

University of Minnesota Food Access Study
The University will conduct a household survey in two cities.
